"Handmade" knife: The Sperone in Spotted Juniper, bolster and blade Damascus
This sumptuous model with its wooden handle of Juniper, its mitre and its blade in Damascus steel, is part of the very high-end Collection of the Sperone! a folding knife imagined and designed in Corsica by the Zuria de Bonifacio cutters in close collaboration with the house Fontenille Pataud in Thiers and Robert Beillonnet, M.O.F 1997 and 2000.
Like all Sperones, its opening is very smooth and it has a blade locking system by rear pump and a fixed stop, so that it does not hit the bottom of the knife when closing.
Noble materials, exclusive Damasteel® steel of very good quality and finishes in every detail are the main assets of this knife. Its spring is forged, chiseled and polished inside and Corsica is engraved on the fly which is also forged.
The Sperone knife in Juniper Magnifying Glass, mitre and Damascus blade comes with a leather belt case.
Bolster and blade: Damascus stainless steel, hardness 56Hrc. Damasteel®. Semi-chiselled blade.
Handle: Spotted juniper wood (also called cade wood). Very pleasant fragrant wood. Each handle is unique.
Technique: Rear pump blade lock (lock-back), fixed stop for the blade: it does not hit the bottom of the knife when closing.
Finish: Forged spring, chiseled and polished interior.
