Corsican knife The Cursina : horn Aries and chiseled blade
This folding Corsican knife is handmade in our workshops in Bonifacio. Inspired by the old shepherd's knives, the Cursina is part of the Zuria Collection which Antoine, cutler in Bonifacio drew the model.
Formerly, this Corsican shepherd or peasant knife, called "La Cursina" was rather considered as a tool than a pocket knife. Its particularity is the shape of its blade with very rounded back, varying from one region or blacksmith to another and having a tarabiscot (tool to make moldings in the wood). This rustic knife, a forgotten time, is now sought by hunters who use it to cut up and cut the boar.
The Cursina measures 20 cm in total and are designed with different handles in wood, horn or bone. They are also equipped with blades in stainless steel, carbon or Damascus for the most beautiful and different closing systems.
This model has a Ram horn handle with an unhooked underneath, a semi-chiseled blade in burnished and polished XC75 carbon steel and a closure system called "2 Nails". This knife comes with a leather case.
This model is available in 2 sizes:
- Small model: 17 cm open, 10 cm closed. Semi-chiselled blade of 7 cm. About 35 g
- Classic model: 19 cm open, 11 cm closed. Chiseled blade of 8 cm. About 50 g
