Handmade knife: La Cursina in olive wood with black blade - 18 cm
This Corsican folding knife is handcrafted in our workshops in Bonifacio. The Cursina, inspired by old knives, is part of the Collection of knives imagined and designed by the brothers Zuria, Antoine and Camille, Couteliers in Bonifacio.
The Cursina are usually 20 cm in total but this one is 18 cm long which is perfectly suited for small hands, especially those of women. The Cursina are available with different handles: in wood, horn or bone, and blades in stainless steel, carbon or Damascus for the most beautiful and different locking systems.
This model has an olive wood handle, a black carbon blade and a closing system called "2 nails". Delivered with a leather box.
In the past, this Corsican shepherd's or peasant's knife, called "La Cursina", was considered more of a tool than a pocket knife. Its peculiarity lies in the shape of its blade with a very rounded back, varying from one region or from one blacksmith to another and comprising a tarabiscot (tool for making moldings in wood). This rustic knife, a forgotten time, is now sought after by hunters who use it to skin and cut wild boar.
Attention: This is a handmade knife with natural materials, so each piece is unique.
