New design for the Hors Série shepherd's knife with Damascus blade: the steel bolster has been enlarged for a better grip and a steel decoration in the shape of Corsica is now inlaid on the wooden handle. This model retains the tab on the blade to open it more easily.
Inspired by the rounded shape of the Corsican knife "Le Berger", this elegant knife has an Oak wood handle and a chiseled spring.
Initially, Berger is a pocket knife Corsica. Created to work, it was used for hunting or for carving small pieces of wood. This knife was created by a shepherd to work. It is used in the hunt for dressing the game, because of his broad blade tip pointing backwards. Its thick and short blade makes it an ideal tool for carving wood and cork. The curved handle of Berger, directly inspired by the Horns offers a perfect grip and accuracy of the gesture.
Steels composing the Damascus blade have the following values:
- Carbon 0.75% Manganese 0.29% Silicon 0.33% Phosphorus 0.02% 0.01% Sulfur 5.13% Nickel Chrome Molybdenum 0.14% 0.18% 0.14% Vanadium
