Corsican Knife: U Cumpà Warthog Ivory and Rose Damask blade
The Cumpà is a folding Corsican knife where the traditional technique combines perfectly with a modern design. Couteaux Zuria Bonifacio created this model with Gilles® Fontenille Pataud in Thiers. He was baptized "U Cumpà" which means "The companion" in Bonifacio.
With one hand, opening and closing are facilitated thanks to stylized Corsica on the blade of the knife and the Liner lock system.
- Handle: Warthog tooth. A tooth used to make a knife. Natural aspect for this ivory very pleasant to the touch and which patina with the time.
- Design: Handle and security system stylized, perforated blade representing Corsica for one-handed opening
- Blade & Platinum: Blade 2.5 mm thick Damascus stainless steel "Rose" stainless steel 120 layers. Hardness obtained after quenching: 57 Hrc
- One-handed mechanism: Liner-lock system. Its nice to open and close. Hardened ball system to keep the blade closed and prevent accidental opening. Teflon ring mounting.
