La Cursina Corsican knife: Ram's horn handle and Damascus blade
This Corsican folding knife is handmade in our workshops in Bonifacio. Inspired by old shepherd's knives, the Cursina is part of the Zuria Collection, of which Antoine, cutler in Bonifacio designed the model.
In the past, this Corsican shepherd's or peasant's knife, called "La Cursina" was considered more of a tool than a pocket knife. Its particularity is due to the shape of its blade with a very rounded back, varying from one region or from one blacksmith to another and comprising a tarabiscot (tool for making moldings in wood). This rustic knife, once forgotten, is now sought after by hunters who use it to skin and carve wild boar.
The Cursina measure 20 cm in total and are designed with handles made of natural and unique materials such as wood, horn or bone. They are also equipped with stainless steel blades, carbon or Damascus for the most beautiful and different closing systems.
